Types of headaches
1. Tension type headache (tension headache)
This is probably the most common type of headache experienced by many people. In this type of headache, the head feels like it is tied up. The headache is felt throughout the head, neck and shoulders.
The degree can range from mild to severe and the causes also vary. Mild headache symptoms can be relieved with over-the-counter analgesics (painkillers).
2. Vertigo (spinning dizziness)
The term vertigo is used for complaints of spinning dizziness. Vertigo is classified into two types based on its cause, namely central vertigo and peripheral vertigo. Central vertigo is vertigo caused by disorders or diseases in the brain or central nervous system.
Meanwhile, peripheral vertigo is vertigo caused by a disorder or disease of the inner ear. The symptoms of vertigo can be relieved with the use of antivertigo medications that can be prescribed by a doctor.

3. Migraine (one-sided headache)
People who experience migraines will feel a one-sided headache that can be accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light and sound (commonly referred to as aura).
Migraine is more common in women than men. Migraines can be treated with symptom-relieving medications such as analgesics for the headache and antiemetics (anti-nausea) for the accompanying nausea.
Headaches are very common, but don’t underestimate them. Basically, a headache, regardless of the type, is a symptom that can be caused by a variety of underlying conditions or diseases.
If the headache does not subside with the use of symptomatic drugs (drugs used to relieve symptoms), progressively worsens, or is accompanied by comorbid symptoms such as other neurological disorders , further and immediate examination is needed.
